Maricopa Nursing and Upper Iowa University Partnership
Maricopa Nursing and UIU have developed a concurrent enrollment program that allows a limited number of qualifying students to enroll in both programs, taking classes at the same time and earning an associate in applied science (AAS) in nursing, followed by obtaining the BSN within a semester of AAS completion. Classes are taught in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online).
To be eligible for consideration, students must be accepted into the Maricopa Nursing queue and must have completed all prerequisite and co-requisite requirements for both programs.

Shorter Sessions with Focused Schedule
UIU’s unique Two-at-a-Time course schedule helps you focus on your studies. As a full-time RN-BSN student, you only need to take two classes during each 8- or 6-week session, which helps you concentrate and excel. The UIU RN-BSN program can be taken completely online or in a hybrid format that combines traditional classes with online learning.

At 56 years old I decided it was time to get my BSN. A friend introduced me to UIU and the RN - BSN program. I was hesitant; it's been a long time since I have been in school. I am now fully engaged in the nursing program. It is hard for me to explain the impact returning to school has made on me. I actually look at the nursing profession in a whole new light, the difference in having an ADN and working towards my BSN makes me feel "more professional". I would highly recommend UIU-Mesa and the instructors. I have felt supported through the entire process.
