In celebration of 50+ years of the Self-Paced degree program, UIU has embarked on a fundraising campaign to support Adult Learner Scholarships. The successful launch of the Self-Paced program in 1973 created a blueprint for UIU’s foray into other expansions in adult-focused education. The Adult Learner Scholarship fund will be available to students attending learning experiences outside of the Fayette Campus.

UIU alumni who primarily attended a location outside of the Fayette Campus make up over 81% of the overall living alumni population. A small number of merit-based scholarships are currently available to adult and distance learners. Since the 1970’s, our Adult Learners have made a significant and very positive impact on UIU’s continued success. The Adult Learners are UIU’s greatest opportunity to help ensure UIU’s future success. In order to increase opportunities for financial assistance, UIU will improve educational access through the Adult Learner Scholarships.
